Theatre Days
Enhance your students’ visit to the theatre by booking a full Theatre Day. The day includes a backstage tour, practical workshops; meet members of the Acting Company and production staff, a ticket to see the production and a pre/post show discussion.
Workshops
Workshops are usually based around the production you are visiting and offer an overview or introduction to the play. However, they can be tailor made to meet the specific requirements of your group.
Summer 2010:
Working with members of the acting company, designers and directors, the workshops will look at the challenges and skills required in staging the productions. Practical 'page-to-stage' sessions, backstage tours and bespoke skills sessions are all available this year.
The cost for each workshop is £8. Price includes workshop and optional theatre tour. Please note that this price does not include a ticket to the performance. There is a maximum limit of 25 students per workshop. All workshops must be booked by Friday 17 September 2010. After this, we cannot guarantee availability of accompanying performances. Christmas 2010:
Tailored workshops for KS2 aand above are available for Tom's Midnight Garden, our Christmas production. This 90 minute workshop will:
£12 per student for workshop and performance, maximum 25 places per workshop.

Backstage Tours
Interested in what goes on behind the scenes? We can offer a tour of Theatre by the Lake to primary and secondary schools, colleges and community groups. We will show you the rehearsal room, dressing rooms, the sound and lighting box as well as our main house auditorium and the studio theatre. Please note that Theatre by the Lake is a very busy working theatre so not all of these areas may be available during your tour.
